Is there a way that files stored in Tapes can be directly accessed?

According to what I have read, you can only directly access the files stored in a tape if you have loaded the tape in your system and mounted it. The tape should be virtually mounted before you can access its files. In the accessing process, the files are accessible through the virtual mount (meaning it has been loaded into its respective directory and the operating system can recognize and look/search for it). Its mount provides efficient storing and organizing process of its files for easier and faster access.

NATIONALISM OF FILIPINOS TODAY

The following essay is my original compostiton. It talks about what has happened to the nationalistic passion and the patriotism of the filipinos today. I made this when I was in our History class during my freshmen year. I hope it opens your eyes to the reality.

Love for one’s country is indeed a very much requirement that every single Filipino, as young as a child, even from different races should have. But the thing is, can we still find nationalistic Filipinos today? Yes but rarely and that’s a big deal! Being nationalistic seems a very crucial act today especially to the youth. Even I, myself, can say that I do many things that oppose and contradict on what we call “nationalism.” Take for example are the things that we bought from the market. It’s no wonder and it can’t be denied that we Filipinos yearn for imported products and even reject our very own. We even shout “Wow! Imported… Let’s prioritize this!” the worse is when we say “Made in Philippines? I demand for an imported, branded one!” What an undeniable truth…

We are just making an impediment and barrier to the progress, industrialization and countryside development. One more thing is that we no longer lend free service for our nation, it must have payment. We enjoy life neglecting our responsibilities in our environment. Throwing garbage anywhere is common. It is an aggravation to our present situation, isn’t it? Where are the realizations that our past heroes who endured pain and fought till death taught us? Do their accomplishments and sacrifices still have worth & essence? Maybe yes but is deteriorating in no time. We seldom participate in the programs raised by the government for national purposes. On and on we go, destroying the government, demanding the president to step down instead supporting hand in hand for economic growth and development. We want a better Philippines and a better life, but think about it, we are the ones who ruined and messed it.

But beside the dark side of ours, lies the brilliant one. Nationalism is shown in many ways. The OFWs work hard not just for their families but also for their beloved Philippines. They are the ambassadors of a real Filipino with real hearts for their country. They represent and uphold Filipinos as hardworking, hospitable, and trustworthy. They also strengthen the peso value and boost economic progress. In fact they can be treated as heroes of our age. There are also youths of today that are very aggressive to unfold, nurture, and make use of their talents they posses and compete with other countries, with excellence in different fields garnering awards and pride to our country. We also have the patriotic, the armed forces, ready to defend the nation at all cost, wrestling with bullets and missiles, risking their lives. There are many things about nationalism and it’s splendid to say that they illuminate our dark sides.

But the question is, “do we really love and care for Philippines?” well, ours is the answer. All we need to do is make wise decisions and hope for a better country!

I just watched wanted!

wanted movie 2008

Just this afternoon after we attended the Davao Cyber Expo events, me and my classmates decided to watch this movie. Me and Joseph were about to leave the 2nd floor of the NCCC mall of Davao but all of a sudden someone’s hand grabbed us back and when I turned back it was Egon. He asked us if we wanted to go with them and watch the movie. I was anticipating that they were already watching the movie in that instance because we saw them on their way up and our schoolmate Kakay told us that they were about to watch the movie. I was triggered and I was supposed to go with them but it was too late so I just stayed with them in the food court. We waited for about 50 minutes and talked about things. on our way up, we visited the childres’s corner, the one with many kids’ stuff and tiys and we explored kiddie toys and olayed some of them. And guess what? I have discovered that they were selling a Forehead Protector(the one you can see on a konoha ninja/ konoha shinobi in naruto) and ninja gloves. I was thinking of buying them but I didn’t not because I was ashamed but I just don’t feel. I saw the same items on the ground floor at the Davao Cyber Expo Corner but hell it cost much. Anyway, back in the story. As we were walking down the aisles, we saw small stuffs and my companions kept on mentioning our ever cute classmate liit, uttering words like "kuan mani ni liit oh…" hehehe… I was wondering if She stumbled many times or she bit her tongue many times. When we reached the cinema area, we bought foods afterwhich we entered the hall and Joseph got separated with us coz’ he didn’t join us watch the movie. I was with Jopal, Brylle, Egon, Bamboo, Sean, Vincent, and my brother-wanna be Porpi… (Did I miss someone?) It was so damn cold there… The movie is so amazing, it’s a thriller crime suspense…etc(just visit imdb for complete details…hehehe). I also found it funny because there were sexy scenes and the lead actor looked like so idiot and stupid at the early part. The one that struck us most was when the lead actor was trained by a fat meat guy who was very skilled with knives… He kept saying ""PUSSY!" the story’s climax was when the assumed villain confessed and revealed the truth that he was the real father of the lead actor… The story ended with the hollywood hottie Angelina killed all her coleague includeing herself by pulling the trigger of her gun and shut the bullet in a perfect curve which killed them all except the bida because she didn’t screw the code of the fraternity… When we got out of the hall, we kept saying pussy and Porpi immediately started acting like an assasin which was so hilarious… We went to the bowling and billiard area for a while and watched little kids play, they were pretty skilled! We went down and after that I separated with them and I’ve gone home… What a day! hehehe…

Boo! It’s Friday the 13th!!!

Friday the 13th is unlucky? Not anymore!

AMSTERDAM - Unlucky for some? Dutch statisticians have established that Friday 13th, a date regarded in many countries as inauspicious, is actually safer than an average Friday.

A study published on Thursday by the Dutch Centre for Insurance Statistics showed that fewer accidents and reports of fire and theft occur when the 13th of the month falls on a Friday than on other Fridays.

"I find it hard to believe that it is because people are preventatively more careful or just stay home, but statistically speaking, driving is a little bit safer on Friday 13th," CVS statistician Alex Hoen told the Verzekerd insurance magazine.

In the last two years, Dutch insurers received reports of an average 7,800 traffic accidents each Friday, the CVS study said. But the average figure when the 13th fell on a Friday was just 7,500.

There were also fewer incidents of fire and theft, although the average value of losses on Fridays 13th was slightly higher.

>>>May I ask you a question? Do you still believe in this superstition? People of today usually disregard things like this but there also few who still hold to these beliefs. Whatever… hehehe
